I am Dr. Anne “Annie” Dericks, Naturopathic Physician,
Pelvic Therapist, Health Coach and Mother.
I create transformation by aligning women with their physiologic design, nature’s design, so they can thrive and create the life they are meant to live. I specialize in women’s health… hormone health, pelvic health, and birth healing. I hold a deep trust in the body’s innate ability to heal.
Truth is, the body knows how to heal its self. Our bodies are capable of healing far beyond what we’ve been led to believe. When we follow nature’s design and give the body what it needs…
Healing is always available.
My work is in service to and in celebration of the female body.
May you remember your divinity as your birth right.
I have immersed myself in natural medicine since I was 12 years old. And this is how it all started…I remember going to the doctor and sharing symptoms I was experiencing. I was offered pharmaceutical drugs and surgery as the only treatment option.
I specifically asked if there was anything I could do. Could I change something to heal instead? My diet? My lifestyle? And the doctor told me, “No, there is nothing you can do. It’s just your genetics."
Thank goodness I never believed them.
Deep in my body I knew there had to be another way.
And while it wasn’t what my adolescent mind wanted to hear, I am so thankful for this interaction as it sparked my journey to the true healing power available. I am here to activate this knowing in you too.
Taking Lāʻau lapaʻau (Hawaiian herbal medicine) classes from Levon Ohai and Krista Steinfeld at the University of Hawaiʻi changed my perception of healing and what is possible. I completed my bachelor’s degree at Sarah Lawrence College, and received my Naturopathic Medical Doctorate and certificate in Natural Childbirth and Midwifery from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM). While attending NUNM, I completed specialized rotations in primary care, gynecology and women’s health,
as well as cardiology and pulmonary medicine.
In addition, I also completed a midwifery and pediatrics externship at A Gentle Beginning in Portland, Oregon and at Sacred Healing Arts in Honolulu, Hawaii. I have had the privilege of attending births with licensed and traditional midwives, both of which have expanded my ability to be with and support women.
I continue to learn from exceptional teachers and healers. I am certified in Holistic Pelvic Care™ with Tami Kent. I have studied with Lynn Shulte, PT though the Institute for Birth Healing and Rachelle Seliga Garcia with Innate Traditions.
I tend to my family including my husband, three children, dog,
cats, and sheep and our off-grid homestead. You’ll find me
playing in the mountains or in the sea.
